SUMMARY:Hooters Clearwater Super Boat National Championship
DESCRIPTION:2018 Hooters Clearwater Super Boat National Championship\, now in it 10th year. Three full days of speed\, power and excitement. \nStaring on Friday morning\, Registration and inspection for Superboats in the Dry Pits located at the Baystar Race Village at the bottom of Coachman Park with a press conference. Baystar Race Village opens at 11 am\, free admission\, Food and Beverage Available for purchase through the Baystar Restaurant Group.  Lot of Vendors & Live Entertainment. \nFriday afternoon festivities commence with a Boat Parade and Downtown Block and Party with Live Entertainment\, followed by the Baystar Super Boat VIP Party at Station Square Park\, Heavy Appetizers\, Hosted by Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce & Baystar Restaurant Group. \nSaturday morning starts early with a driver’s meeting followed with race boats launching at the Seminole Boat Ramp for some testing and tuning. The festivities continue with a Super Boat Downtown Block Party. Then in the evening on Clearwater Beach\, the Sunset at Pier 60 Fireworks takes place with Vendors and live entertainment. Free Ice Cream cone with VIP Pass\, hosted by Pier 60 Concessions. Then the night owls head down to Shepard’s Hotel where the night life continues all night long at Shepard’s Beach Resort VIP Party. \nSunday morning starts out early with another driver’s meeting. Then race boats begin launching at the Seminole Boat Ramp where they gather for the class groupings. VIP guests can get a close up view and watch the races live from Pier 60. The races are run in three heats and multiple classifications.The boats are fast\, reaching speeds in excess of 170 mph. \nAfter the races everyone heads over to the Clearwater Harbor and to the Marina Cantina for the After Race Party and Awards Presentation.

DESCRIPTION:Monterey Collector Car Week is not to be missed in 2018. This special automotive week is full of exciting events\, auto shows\, rallies\, concours and car auctions that ends on Sunday at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. \nBeginning on Tuesday with the exciting “Concours on the Ave” on Ocean Ave in downtown Carmel by The Sea\, then the rest of the week includes events like the prestigious “McCalls Motorworks Revival” Jetport Party and “The Quail Motorsports Gathering” at the Quail Lodge\, The “Little Car Show” in downtown Monterey features micro cars and sub compact European cars. The “Concorso Italiano”  is an all Italian car show held at the Black horse Country Club. For the German car enthusiast there is “Legends of the Autobahn” and the “Porsche Werks Reunion”. And then for the memorabilia collector there is is the “Automobilia Show” held at the Embassy Suites Hotel. For the holy car collector there is the special “Carmel Mission Classic Concours “where the Bishop blesses the cars. For the active types with exotic and rare classics who like to drive\, they can participate in “The Pacific Grove Concours Auto Rally”\, and as for the speed demons they can exercise their skills at the “Rolex Reunion” Vintage car races on the famed “Laguna Seca Raceway”. Not to be left out\, but for the intellectual and historian types\, there is always the “Pebble Beach Car Forum” hosted by celebrity automobile aficionados. Should one become intrigued and in the mood to expand their collection\, than want no more\, because all the auctions houses are here with over 2000 select cars to buy: Gooding and Company\, Worldwide\, Russo and Steele\, Bonhams and Mecum. There are plenty more events to attend during the week\, all leading up to the Grand Finale\, The spectacular “Pebble Beach Concours d”Elegance”.

Plenty of fun for all …and the chance to see some of the best cars produced by Shelby American over the decades. 2018 is also the 50th birthday of the 1968 Shelby and it should not pass unnoticed. Several 1968 Shelby activities are planned\, including a group photo\, unique t-shirt\, and a parade lap session with all 1968’s grouped together. It should go without saying—but we’ll say it anyway—if there was ever a convention to bring your 1968 Shelby to\, this is the one. And we’d like to see them all: works-in-progress and daily drivers as well as low-mileage originals and concours jewels. \nSAAC has been holding a national convention every summer since 1976. These are not cookie-cutter events that use the same hotel and same race track every year. Each of our conventions is a little different and they rotate around the country.

DESCRIPTION:Sebring International Raceway is America’s oldest road racing track\, with over six decades of storied history. The legendary circuit evolved from Hendricks Field\, a World War II airbase used to train B-17 combat crews. On December 31\, 1950\, aviation and racing enthusiast Alec Ulmann promoted a six-hour race using the runways of the old airbase. Sebring burst onto the sports car racing scene and into the history books in March 1952 with a 12-hour endurance race that is now second only to Le Mans in international prestige. Each year on the third Saturday of March\, 3.74 miles of concrete and asphalt challenge the giants of sports car racing to one of the world’s most grueling endurance tests.

Set for Saturday February 10th\, 2018\, on Fifth Avenue South. The fourteenth annual show will be better than ever. \nThe Ferrari Club of America is the largest Ferrari club in the world with over 6\,500 members that benefit from its activities\, events and enthusiast camaraderie. www.ferrariclubofamerica.org \nThe 2017 show broke all previous attendance records\, and with over 575 private entries and dealer cars\, the displays on the street were outstanding. Rarely can such a superb collection of exotics and collector cars be found in one location\, and there were plenty of enthusiasts on hand to enjoy the show. The attendance estimates numbered over 50\,000\, and there was lots to see and enjoy in the lovely Naples weather. \nThe ‘Cars on 5th’ show is also about helping the community and giving to those in need. Donations from the attendees and individual contributions to our featured charities have raised over $850\,000 over the past 13 years. The 2018 14th Annual Cars on 5th will benefit our featured Naples charity\, St. Matthews House\, which gathers contributions of food and clothing\, the proceeds from which help operate food pantries and shelters to care for the homeless and hungry of our community. Structured recovery programs are also undertaken. \nOur sponsors include Ferrari of Tampa Bay\, Seminole Casino\, Naples Bentley-Porsche\, Naples Motorsports\, Blackhorse Motors\, Bank of America\, Gulf Coast Motorworks and more. DESCRIPTION:We here at National Parts Depot are sad to announce that the 24th-Annual Ford and Mustang Roundup at Silver Springs will be the LAST. No single aspect can be attributed alone to our decision. It is a mix of dynamics that brought us to this fork in the road. There are less activities for families within the park\, and an apparent slow-shrinking of interest/activity for shows in-general. For this show in particular\, every year the ratio of cars-preregistered to cars-that-show-up shrinks. These dynamics\, juxtaposed against the time and resources that we have historically invested in administrating and putting-on the show\, made this a tough but necessary move. \nWith this being the “Last Hurrah”\, we hope to see a large turnout\, and we intend to bake some “special” features into the cake to make it a worthy and fun send-off. If you’ve ever attended a Silver Springs show\, the 2018 event should be a must. \nOur Silver Springs shows have always been intended as a huge “Thank You” to our loyal customers\, and to the hobby in-general. And we assure you\, our gratitude and our emotion for this hobby has not swayed an inch. The shows have simply become too large of a burden\, with diminishing returns. We cannot overstate our appreciation for our customers and for all the loyal participants of our Ford and Mustang shows. We would also like to express our appreciation to all who contributed to the genesis of the original Silver Springs event\, and who helped volunteer in the early days. \nTHANK YOU to all!! NPD
